The 2024 Copa Bongós was the inaugural edition of the Copa Bongós, the international men's football championship organised by the Bongos' football ruling body, COFBU. The tournament took place in United Bongo States of the New America from 16 July to 20 August 2024. The tournament marked the first major international football event hosted in the United Bongo States of the New America.
The inaugural champions were the United Bongo States of the New America, who won their first title by defeating AMB Fish Filipino 3–2 after extra time in the final, which was played on August 20, 2024, at Bongó Stadium in Coconut the Monkey City, Bongo City State. United Bongo States of the New America became the first nation to win the tournament and claimed the nation’s first international title. Bongo Messi was awarded the tournament's Best Player for his standout performance throughout the competition.
The 2024 Copa Bongós was the inaugural edition of the tournament organized by COFBU. Several nations expressed interest in hosting the competition, including Sam’s Republic and Bongo Disputed Territories of Avatargirl. Following a bidding process, the United Bongo States of the New America was chosen as host in early 2023, with COFBU citing its infrastructure and organizational capacity as key factors in the decision.
